Dance-film for "Ragtime"

Dance-sculpture "Coronaspiral"

For the competition “How do we want to live and how has Corona changed this life,” I developed the “Corona Spiral,” a defined, walk-in space.

Slat arranged in a spiral define the space. They rise in height from the outside to the inside. The color changes. The outer area is monotonous black and white, while the interior (the last four struts) is brightly colored. The inner, colorful core of the spiral symbolizes one's own private space. The surrounding area represents the environment, the public space.

Corona has completely changed the relationship between these spaces that surround us. Suddenly, “life” only seemed to take place within our own four walls. Public space was increasingly declared a forbidden zone—closed cafés, restaurants, clubs, museums, restricted shops, new rules of conduct, face masks, gloves, disinfectant spray, human contact undesirable, even dangerous.

The result: isolation and retreat into one's own “shell.”
